Motor dredge “Fabio Moreni”
The dustpan dredgers “Arni2” and “Fabio Moreni” fulfill the task of keeping the optimal condition of navigation ability on Po River.
Dustpan motor dredger in operation
They have excavating potential of moving approx 5000 cu m/h of mix. The rapidity of interventions increases thanks to the navigation speed of the motor dredgers, in average 9 knots. The dredging system includes tools for controlling of the fuel consumption and quantity of inert being moved; this offers precise indications for the evaluation of the management costs.

All maneuver and dredging operations are commanded from the panel where all alarms and control panels for diesel engines are present. The motor dredgers, under RINA class, have quarters with toilets for 6 people, mess and kitchen.
The outlet piping, settled on little rafts, is equipped with a special deflector steered from the panel; this allows the mix jet to be deviated out of the zone of ships transit.
