The unit was built with a double hull and with tanks equipped with a vapor recovery system generated during the stages of loading, in full respect of the national and international standards for safety and environmental prevention. The tanker REC-ILO Ronco, in addition to maritime transport service, can be considered as the point of support for the storage in the sea of pollutants and tank washing waters from oil tankers with hydrocarbon contamination. The companies Secomar, armoring the tanker, in collaboration with the company Ambiente Mare, the owner of a modern wastewater treatment plant wash containing hydrocarbons in the port of Ravenna, provide to the Italian market such unique service.
